ZuMUN Opening Ceremony Panelist

Meet the first member of the speakers panel:
Colonel (retired) Jochen Ewert was born 1954 in Bremen, Germany. After graduating from high school in 1973 he joined the German Armed Forces. He graduated from University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg with a masters in education and psychology. As a staff officer he served for nearly ten years in Poland as a military attaché of the German Embassy during which he, together with polish and danish officers, took part in the creation of the Multinational Corps North East in Szczecin, Poland. He later served in Berlin and worked for the Federal Chancellery in the field of defence with focus on Eastern Europe and the Balkans. His last position was military attaché of the German embassies in Belgrade, Serbia and Podgorica, Montenegro. Jochen Ewert retired in 2013 and now lives in Berlin where he works as an adviser in various fields and owns his own company. His main hobbies include outdoor activities, sports and hunting.
